Steinway Piano Gallery of Milwaukee is pleased to offer music education in a wide variety of styles, including classical, contemporary, jazz and pop/rock.  Our studios have qualified teachers who hold degrees in several areas of music and belong to various professional associations in Wisconsin.  All studios are set-up with the finest Steinway-family pianos or Roland Digital pianos.

TEACHER BIO's

DREW DONICA - Piano - 414-276-5760 - ddonica@wcmusic.org - Wisconsin Conservatory of Music faculty member since 2015. MM in piano performance and pedagogy, University of Colorado—Boulder; BM in piano performance with an emphasis in piano pedagogy and BA in Spanish, Lawrence University.  Mr. Donica teaches private piano lessons and group piano classes at all Conservatory branches as well as general music through Conservatory Connections. Active as a performer, Mr. Donica collaborates with WCM faculty, students, and other musicians in the area.  He is honored to give presentations on various piano pedagogy topics at the Music Teachers’ National Association Conferences (2015, Las Vegas; 2016, San Antonio). Mr. Donica studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina and enjoys playing music by Latin American composers. Prior to working at the Conservatory, Mr. Donica taught at the Parlando School for the Musical Arts in Boulder, Colorado.  He studied piano with Melanie Brsan, Anthony Padilla, and David Korevaar; and pedagogy with Mary Van De Loo and Alejandro Cremaschi. 

LAURA EICHE - Piano - 262-737-0311 - leiche954@gmail.com  Laura earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied with Carroll Chilton, Howard Karp and Jack Radunsky. She subsequently studied with Seymour Berstein and N. Jane Tan and became a Well Prepared Pianist Institute certified instructor.  As a member of Quintessence, a five grand piano ensemble, Laura performed concerts in Milwaukee, Madison, Corpus Christi Texas and Flagstaff Arizona.  Quintessence advanced to the finals in the 2008 Gina Bachauer International PianoTeam Competition in Salt Lake City Utah. Laura has served as secretary of the Waukesha Music Study Club, president of the Greater Milwaukee Chapter of the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association and on numerous other music organization committees and forums.  She has many years of private and ensemble teaching experience and has prepared hundreds of students for performances and auditions.  She enjoys working with both children and adults at all levels. 

ELIZABETH KLOSE GREEN - piano- sbgreen3@gmail.com: 262-305-8275  received her doctorate in piano performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, her Master's degree from Indiana University and her Bachelor degree from Michigan State University. She is a native of Wisconsin, although she lived for 19 years in Maryland where she taught piano at Anne Arundel Community College, was the music director at her parish and taught music at her children's school. She is active as an accompanist for the Milwaukee Children's Choir and the String Academy of Wisconsin and has taught piano to students of all ages for the past 28 years. Elizabeth teaches the traditional classical method and enjoys teaching both students interested in competitions and those wanting to learn for their own enjoyment.  

BARBARA HAGON -Piano - 414-232-7357 - Barbara has over 35 years of teaching experience.  She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.  She has completed a three year course of advanced pedagogy work with N. Jane Tan in the Well Prepared Pianist program.  Ms. Hagon works with students of all ages and strives to instill a love of music for a lifetime of enjoyment.  She is a member of numerous music organizations which provide opportunities for her students to perform in auditions, competitions, and recitals.

MARY ANNE HARRIS-Piano - 414-257-0681 - Mary Anne is a native of Georgia, and has been teaching piano in Milwaukee since 1990.  She has 32 years of professional music experience in Georgia, Kentucky, and Wisconsin with emphases in piano teaching and performance and choral conducting.  While in graduate school, Ms. Harris studied piano with Dr. Maurice Hinson (author, Guide to the Pianist's Repertoire) and took courses in piano, vocal and organ pedagogy.  The motto for her studio is "striving for excellence and developing well-rounded musicians."  In addition to teaching piano, Ms. Harris sings with the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus, directs a church choir and is an avid matrial artist (5th degree black belt in tae kwon do).  Ms. Harris is a member of various music organizations and her students perform in recitals, auditions, and competitions each year.  Both of her degrees are in music, with her undergraduate degree focusing upon piano performance.

MARILYN JARC – Piano – 920-946-4828 – Graduate with honors from Western Illinois University, Bachelor of Science in Education. Certified in teaching K through 9 with a Major in Piano. Served with the Darien School System for 14 years. Established and successfully directed musical programs, lays and recitals. Her philosophy of “Piano at all ages” evolved into a full time Piano teaching career, starting at Andrews Edwards Music at Arlington Heights, Illinois. Moving into Wisconsin discovered a talented, diverse student base in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Has guided students and adults from early learning to scholastic advancement and later Adult Piano discovery! Personally, Marilyn comes from a musical family, where at the age of 4 received her first piano lesson under the tutelage of Miss Else Carlstrom, Chicago, Illinois. Aside from piano, with her love of horses, she practices the discipline of French Classical Dressage under the direction of Dominique Barbier and Eileen Webb. “It’s wonderful to dance with your horse to the music of such notables as Spencer Brewer, Roger Williams, David Lanz, Donna Summer and Beethoven."

FRANCIS C. STEENO-Piano/Keyboards/Vocals - 414-405-2156 - www.franthepianoman.com - Fran is a Packer Backer originally from Green Bay, WI.  With college training and years of live performance, Fran brings many fascinating attributes to piano students of all ages.  Currently Fran teaches Classical Methods, Jazz, R&B Techniques, Pop, and lots of ear training.  Fran's special techniques go beyond the normal realm of teaching.  His use of chords and vociing actually enables a student to embellish and become a musical creator.  For early beginners, Fran works well with children, and has them doing marvelously in just weeks.  Teens, adult students, or children, expect professionalism and artistic direction.

SHARON STOSUR - Piano - 414-276-5760 - sstosur@att.net - Wisconsin Conservatory of Music faculty member since 2016. MM Piano Performance and Pedagogy, Northwestern University; BM Piano Performance, Central Michigan University. Member, MTNA, WMTA and MMTA. Ms. Stosur enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels, and is particularly sensitive to each student’s individual goals and learning style. As a Piano Publications Editor at Hal Leonard Corporation her focus is on creating educational materials and piano arrangements that are accessible to beginning and intermediate pianists, as well as advanced performers. Prior to joining the Conservatory Ms. Stosur was a piano faculty member at the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis, and maintained private piano studios in Rochester, NY and Whitefish Bay, WI, where her students performed regularly in MTNA exams, community events, and studio recitals. As an accompanist Ms. Stosur has worked with the Milwaukee Children’s Choir, Vocal Arts Academy, and numerous vocal and instrumental soloists.
